First Run Kits

We’re happy to announce that we’re now offering a kit for sale!  This is the first offering, and as such, there are a few caveats. The kit contains  everything you’ll need to transform your own guitar into a guitar controller for PC, Wii and PlayStation 3.  It does require some basic soldering, but the chip comes loaded with all the code you need to hook it up to whatever system you’re playing on, and it’s easily re-programmable via USB.

We’re offering the kits for $30, plus $5 for shipping.

Circuit Board

Already have components lying around?  Have your own AVR Programmer and ATMega chips?  Then you might be interested in just the printed circuit board.  You supply the chip, the resistors, etc.

For 5$ and and extra $1 for shipping, we’ll put a board in an envelope and send it to you!

The V1 Custom

We’re happy to make custom V1’s, in case you’re serious about guitar and want an instrument that sounds as good in real life as it does in your favorite game.  For more information, please e-mail buy@openchord.org, and we can try and set something up.
